God's Earth, Our Home
As many of you may know today is Earth Day! Every year, billions of people gather together to celebrate Earth Day by sharing the importance of caring for our earth. Some people view Earth Day as a day to preach about the disaster of pollution, while others view it as a day to celebrate the goodness and beauty of our earth. I read an article not too long ago that said: "What began as a protest against pollution, has now become a movement for protecting the earth." I believe that Earth Day should not be filled with hate and protest against all the pollution and "trash" in our world, but instead it should be a celebration for all the good and beauty the we do have on this earth.
Thousands and thousands of years ago God created this world for us. He designed and planned out every little detail about our world, and He found His work very good. However, He decided that His work was not yet complete. It needed something more. He needed someone to take care of His creation. He then created us! It is so important that we take care of this earth because God made it and trusted us to protect and take great care of it. I find it so special that God chose you and me to live on this earth and be its caretakers. He chose you and me to add beauty to this earth because He knew that it needed more. He knew that it needed us!
Our earth may not be perfect, but it is in God's eyes. He saw it as His masterpiece! The earth is one of our many beautiful gifts and blessings from God! He blessed us with the beauty of the trees, the waters, the flowers, the skies, the sun and the moon, and oh so much more! I think we so often take for granted the gift that the earth really is to us. What if we did not have all of this beautiful nature? We should always keep in mind how lucky we are that God gave us this place to call home. He could have given us way less, but that is not the kind of God He is! God wanted a beautiful place for His most precious and beautiful creations. We should always remember how lucky we are to have a place like earth to call our home until we reach our eternal home of Heaven. We should never forget that no matter how beautiful the earth may be or how special it is that God loves us and finds us way more special and beautiful! You are His greatest creation! You are His masterpiece!
Happy Earth Day! Celebrate today how loved you are by God for he blessed you with all this beauty that you get to call your home! Let's never take it for granted, and instead love it for all it is and take care of it to the best of our abilities!
Have a great week and stay faithful, friends!
Love always,
Gracie
