He Hears Us
As humans we get upset when we feel someone is not listening to us or when we feel ignored. However, also as humans we are known to ignore and not listen to people on occasion. We all ignore people sometimes yet we dislike the feeling of being ignored. Is that not so confusing? We always hear the phrase: "Treat someone as you would want to be treated." However, as humans we often fall short of this idea. Usually, when someone is rude to us we turn around and are rude to someone else. When someone is angry with us we become angry with someone else. When someone ignore us we are prone to ignore someone else. It's our human nature. It's who we are.
We often carry these human behaviors into our relationship with God. We humanize God by believing that He will ignore us just like everyone here on earth ignores us at one time or another. When the truth is, God is NOT human. We have to realize that He is so much more than us. He is stronger, kinder, and more powerful than us. Have you ever felt that God is ignoring you when you pray to Him? I am sure most of you have, and I will admit that I have too. There have been times when I feel that I need something so bad or times when I want something, so I pray to God that He will just give it to me. I know that sounds so awful, but I am sure that we have all done it because that is just our human nature. When we want something we beg for it. We do all we can to get what we want. However, as I have grown older I have realized that God does not just hand me everything I want. He has a plan for me, just as He has a plan for you, and maybe what I want is not written in that plan. We have to realize that God does everything in His time. He knows exactly what we need, when we need it, and more. His plan for us is so much bigger and brighter than we could ever imagine or ask for. We just have to be patient and keep the faith that He knows what we need.
I am sure you have all heard that God answers prayer in three different ways: yes, no, and not yet. He may say "yes" because He knows we deserve it. He may say "no" because He knows we deserve better. He may say "not yet" because He knows that the best is yet to come. We have to fully and truly believe the fact that God has a beautiful plan in store for each and every one of us. He may never give us exactly what we want, but He will always give us exactly what we need. Therefore, we should never turn from God or become upset with Him when He does not answer our prayers fast enough or good enough for us. We should NEVER give up on God, and we should NEVER quit praying to Him. We just have to be patient and realize that God will never forsake us or "leave us hanging." God NEVER ignores us. He ALWAYS hears us, and He will ALWAYS answer our prayers. Just sit still, be patient, and keep your eyes open for His answer.
Have a great week and stay faithful, friends!
Love always,
Gracie
