His Will. His Way. My Faith.
His Will. His Way. My Faith. What exactly does this mean to you? To me this phrase can be summed up in one word, and that word is simply TRUST. Trust is a powerful word as it involves a lot of strength, confidence, and faith. Trust is hard, and I can strongly attest to that! I think that the main reason that trusting is so difficult is because it means that you are ultimately letting go. You are handing over all your fears, worries, and even desires to a greater power. That greater power being God. As humans, we like to be in control all the time meaning that we often forget who is really in control. God.
God has a WILL. He has a will that is uniquely and beautifully scripted on each and every one of your hearts. He has a plan for humanity-a plan that is far more amazing than we could ever imagine. He has commands for us; however, we sadly ignore those commands or fail to see them sometimes. I believe that we fail to see or ignore his commands because we are so absorbed in our own plans and wills. We tend to let our own plans come before God's because we find our plan more ideal. Did you ever think that maybe his plan was more perfect than your plan?
God has a WAY. He has a way that is paved just for YOU! He has gone before us and laid out every little detail necessary. He has written your story, and he calls you by name to share your story with the world. Is that not amazing? The sad thing is that we usually find a "short cut" or take a wrong turn somewhere along this journey called life. This happens when we sin. I like use the analogy of a GPS. You know that annoying voice? The one that repeatedly says: "Make a U-turn here, make a U-turn here" when you don't follow the EXACT path it has planned for you to follow. We usually just ignore it though and let it reroute itself. Well, believe it or not, the same goes for God and his path. When we make a wrong turn somewhere along our path he is constantly trying to have us “make a u-turn” toward him. However, sometimes we just ignore that voice because we have our own way that we want to go. Although, God doesn’t just reroute his way for us like the GPS. God sticks to his plan, and his hope is that we will stick to it too!
God has a will, and God has a way. It is our job to keep our faith. There are so many jobs and responsibilities that you will have in this life, but one of the hardest jobs you will probably ever have is the job of keeping your faith. It’s hard. Having faith is not an easy task. It takes a whole lot of courage to put all of your faith into God. It’s hard to just let go and trust that he has it all. However, I find so much comfort in the Bible verse Jeremiah 29:11, which states, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” You see, God has the BEST plan in store for you! Why should we not put our faith in him? I know it can be hard. It takes practice. I’m still working on it myself. I know though, through time, we can accomplish it. So, let’s work on it together this year!!
I know we have a lot of stuff happening and coming up with college, and in the midst of all that it may be difficult to keep our faith. I encourage you though to join me in keeping our faith in God that he has a great plan in store for each and every one of us. We must be faithful in th fact that he will not fail or forsake us. He will lead us to where we need to be! We just got to have faith!
Have a lovely week and stay faithful, friends!
It is going to be a great year!
I love you all!

Gracie
