Finding the Good in Everyday

Do you ever just feel like you are having terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day? I'm pretty sure all of us have had one or two of those before because having bad days are a part of life. Life is not perfect, and no matter what society or other people tell you, nothing can change that. Bad days exist, and they always will. Sometimes we get mad at God for giving us bad days, and we blame him for our bad days. However, bad days are not God's fault, they are our faults. We are the ones that cause ourselves to have bad days. The way we think and act are what lead us to having them. If we start the day with a bad attitude, then our day will reflect that attitude. We are the only ones who can control our behavior. We can wake up in a good mood and have a good day, or we can wake up in a bad mood and have a bad day. It is a known fact that we will have our fair share of bad days. They exist to help shape us. Our bad days teach us, they guide us, and they make us stronger. We learn from our bad days in order to have good days. They help us to appreciate the good days even more. So, even bad days have a little good in them, we just don't realize it. Our bad days teach us how to have good days. It is so important that we focus on how we can have a good day. We need to start the day with a positive outlook and with a good attitude, so that we can have a good day and ultimately, a good life. People always says that life flies by, which is so true. You do not want to live your life having only bad days and a few good days. Instead, you want to live your life having only good days with a few bad days.

Our God is a good, good Father, who will constantly stand with us in our bad days, and he will help us to overcome them, so we can have good days. Our God is so generous. If we mess up one day, he blesses us with a new day tomorrow. He loves us so much that he gives us tomorrows so that we can learn from our todays. He wants to see us push through our bad days and grow into our good days.  He will pour his whole heart into loving us and sharing in the celebration of our good days and sharing in the tears of our bad days. God will not leave us behind. He will uphold us righteously and carry us through each and every one of our days. God knew we could not handle life alone, so he gave us each other to help one another fight through our bad days. It is so important that we help others through their bad days and celebrate with them in their good days. We should do this for others because God always does it for us. God loves you, even in your bad days. He never wants you to be sad or feel completely covered in hardships. He wants you to be happy and feel loved. God only wants you to have good days, but he knows that you need a few bad days, so that you can become stronger and have more faith that he will help you when you are struggling.

This week, I challenge you to be more accepting of the bad days, and realize that they are gifts in themselves. They are just like mistakes because they are what help you to learn. They may be called bad days, but in some ways they are good too. Each day, no matter bad or good, has a little good in it. We just have to find it. I hope you are willing to learn and grow from your bad days, so that you can have good days. I also hope that you will allow your loving God to hold your hand through not only your bad days, but your good days as well.

I hope you all have a great week!

Love,
Gracie
