Follow His Plan

I have come to understand that the best way to live is by following God and His will-even when it's not easy. As humans, it is not always easy to follow God and make the "God choice" because we are surrounded by peer pressure. So today my goal is to make following God just a little bit easier for you by following these 3 steps. 

Step 1-Develop a Relationship with God: 

The first step in following God's plan for you is to simply form a relationship with Him. One of the main parts of our religion is having a relationship with God. We must know God to have a full relationship with Him. In order to form this relationship we must: dig into the Word, make plenty of time for prayer, and involve ourselves in the work of God. Once we put an extreme about of love and effort into forming our relationship with God, then He will reveal to us His plan for us. 

Step 2-Put God's Plan Before Our Own:

The second step in following God is to put His plan before our own. Most of the time when we think that we are following His will we are really telling God what we want to happen and asking Him to simply make that happen. It is completely WRONG to try and pass your plan by God because then we are really not following His will. We must commit ourselves to following His will, even when it is not easy. Once God knows that we are willing to follow His plan instead of our own, then I believe that He will begin to reveal that plan to us. 

Step 3-Obey God:

Believe it or not, God has hidden many key points of His will in the Word. God tells us how to live prominent and beautiful lives, as long as we follow His commands. He makes known to us through parables and stories the ways that we must obey Him in order to live a life most pleasing to Him. If we turn away from God and disobey Him then it would be more likely that He would not reveal aspects of His plan to us. Obeying God is of vast importance when it comes to following Him. 

Once we follow these steps, among many others, we will be able to develop the knowledge of God's plan for us. By knowing God's most precious plan for our lives we will be able to follow God and make the right choices in our lives. God our light who we must follow in order to see in the darkness of our lives. He is our guide that we must chase after when we are lost. God is our peace who will settle our waters when they are troubled. As long as we follow Him we will be on the right path because he will lead us safely to Heaven when that day comes. He loves us so BIG, and I know that it would put the biggest smile on His face if we followed Him all the days our lives!
