You Are Beautiful

I saw The Greatest Showman a few weeks ago, and it is literally the best movie I have seen in awhile! I heard someone say, "I would have sat down and watched it again right after I watched it! It was that good!" It really was so good! If you have not had the chance to see the movie, please do! I highly recommend it! Anyhow, my point in bringing up The Greatest Showman is not to go on and on about how amazing it is (even thought it is!), but is simply to speak about the song This Is Me in the movie. If you have seen the movie then you know that This Is Me is all about the "human oddities" in P.T. Barnum's circus owning their own identities. When I first heard this song its message beautifully shined through to me. It reminded me that we are all so uniquely different, and that it is our differences that make us beautiful and who we are. The characters in the movie were extremely ashamed of themselves and their outer appearances at first; however, they began to realize that they were beautiful just the way they were. I took this song and decided to practice it in my own life by beginning to love myself and others just the way we are. I encourage you to live in this way as well. Instead of looking down upon yourself for your mistakes, bruises, and differences, start walking through life saying, "This is me!" God made you to shine out in this world. You are different for a GOOD reason. God knew this world needed YOU! You have something about you that no one else has, so please don't change! You are all so beautifully and wonderfully made just the way you are! So today, start loving who you are! I promise you that you will be so much happier if you do!
