God Speaks Truthfully...Always

One of my favorite songs recently has been "Voice of Truth" by Casting Crowns. I heard it over Christmas at the Casting Crowns concert that I went to. It was AMAZING, and I instantly fell in love with it because of the message behind it. The song is a reminder to cut out all the negativity and untruthfulness of this world. I think that as humans, the only acceptance that we thirst for is that of the people around us. We are constantly looking to all those around us for their opinion because that is all that really matters to us. We let the words of people around us affect us way too much. When someone tells us girls that any part of our outer appearance looks bad, then we immediately work to change it for that ONE person, which is really sad. Because honestly, we shouldn't care what that ONE person thinks because it does NOT matter. The only thing that should matter to us is what God thinks. God tells us that we are worth so much and that we are perfect and beautiful because he made us in his image and likeness. It doesn't matter to him how we look because he loves us just the way we are. I have always struggled with letting what other people think affect me, so when I heard this song it really hit home with me. I hope that this song inspires you to not let what other people think bother you, and instead to listen to God, whose voice is truthful in saying that you are BEAUTIFUL!
